All NFL teams are required to submit injury reports on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, listing who’s out, doubtful, questionable, or probable. I was surprised on Sunday to see Enoch DeMar make his first NFL start at left guard over Chad Beasley, who filled in the previous week for Shaun O’Hara and performed fairly well.

After the game, it’s revealed that Beasley got stepped on during Wednesday’s practice. The sore toe caused him to miss most of Thursday’s key practice, when the focus was on blitz pick-up. Beasley did not play a down on Sunday, but he never appeared on any of the injury reports, not even as “probable.”

With the O-line already battered beyond belief, the motivation to keep this injury quiet is clear. Unfortunately, this looks like another credibility problem for the Browns, and, according to Marla Ridenour of the Beacon Journal, the league is investigating.
