For no particular reason whatsoever, here is a list of current Browns players who won college football awards:

  • Antonio Bryant, Biletnikoff Award (top WR), 2000
  • Braylon Edwards, Biletnikoff Award, 2004
  • Kellen Winslow, John Mackey Award (top TE), 2003
  • Lang Campbell, Walter Payton Award (top Division I-AA offensive player), 2004

While interesting, these things mean next to nothing at the pro level, as a quick perusal of any list of past winners will prove. For example, here is the complete list (I think) of Browns who won the prestigious Heisman Trophy:

  • Les Horvath
  • Howard Cassady
  • Ernie Davis
  • Charles White
  • Vinnie Testaverde
  • Ty Detmer
  • Rashaan Salaam.

The Browns never got a Pro Bowl season from any of them.
