With a new labor agreement all but inked, it’s suddenly football season. A burst of signings and player movement has begun.
Before I get into what this all entails for the Browns, I want to applaud the clause that ends the emergency quarterback designation and sets game-day rosters at 46.
This will help
–get developing QBs into more games, perhaps for limited packages (e.g. Wildcat)
–reward contributors at other positions who could also fill in as a second or third QB
–reduce incentive for starters or backups to play through an in-game injury, allowing adequate time for diagnosis/treatment.
