He’s surer than I am that Delhomme won’t be back, but TheOBR’s Dave Kolonich makes an interestingly good point about Jake’s brief term as a Brown, concluding:

Over the last brutal decade, Delhomme is the only Browns’ quarterback who didn’t set the team back or break our hearts.

Simply put, he was never meant to do so.

Debatable whether his salary cap hit counts as “set[ting] the team back,” but Delhomme did seem to be a mensch at least.
