Rookie Nate Hybl was signed from the practice squad to the active roster, but nowhere in cyberspace could I find the player who must have been released (or put on IR) in order to make room for him. The team has not made any announcement.
I have a strange sinking feeling it might be DE Tyrone Rogers. Why?
1. He’s one of the last pre-Butch original new Browns from 1999 (Couch, Dawson, Gardocki, KJ, ‘Cutch).
2. Butch has yet to release any player that was drafted during his tenure (though Jeremiah Pharms was never signed).
3. Rogers was inactive for each of the first three games.
4. Recent signings have bolstered depth in the secondary and offensive line. The other defensive ends have been a relative area of strength.
Just speculation of course, but when the team neglects to announce the roster changes it has already made, that’s what you get.
