Finally, a guard dawg: After choosing to lose two starting lineman to free agency, the Browns have agreed to terms with 6’2″ 350-pound Kelvin Garmon. Regarded as a stout run blocker, Garmon helped pave the way for Chargers’ star LaDainian Tomlinson the past two years after the Cowboys, who drafted him in the seventh round in 1999, essentially gave up on him. I don’t know much about him, but it’s reassuring to know that we probably won’t see the likes of DeMar, Zukauskas, Fowler, and Beasley as the starters at both guard positions.
