David Carducci of Bernie’s Insiders is reporting that a shake-up on the offensive line is coming. Patrick McManamon of the Akron Beacon-Journal reports similarly: Expect Paul Zukauskas to start at right guard and Shaun O’Hara to move to left guard, bumping Melvin Fowler.

It’s clear that the interior line hasn’t done enough to spring William Green, so I’d welcome this change. At 69.7 yards per game, the Browns rank 26th in rushing. They are the only team with no rushing touchdowns or runs over 20 yards. In total offense, Cleveland is 30th (next to last) in yards per game and 28th in yards per play.

It does make me wonder how bad Qasim Mitchell must have been to get cut from this guard-weak roster and then — even after Ross Verba’s injury moved Barry Stokes from guard to tackle — get cut from the practice squad.
