I’ve read too much about the Jamir Miller saga. Who’s to blame? What’s the difference? Bottom line is that he won’t be back. Time to move on with the young linebackers. I think there’s plenty of disingenuousness on both sides here. Miller didn’t like being thought of as a situational player, yet his agent concedes that Miller is not yet healed from his Achilles tendon injury. And the Browns sent mixed messages as well, claiming to want Jamir, but also casting aspersions as to his off-season preparation in 2002 and attributing his 2001 success to the defensive scheme. What can you say? (Beat writer Steve King used the word “stupid” 16 times in his analysis.) It’s a tough business, and even with a pigskin they play hardball.
